Guidelines for letters to the editor and guest columns:
The opinion sections of The Maine Campus print edition and Web site are for the free exchange of ideas among members of the university community. As such, we actively seek the opinions and comments of community members. You can submit a letter to the editor here.
Letters to the editor should be no longer than 300 words.
Guest columns should be approximately 600 words.
Submissions should be e-mailed and must include full name, address, phone number and year and major, if applicable. Submissions should be sent to the Madelyn Kearns, the opinion editor, at opinion [at] mainecampus.com
ANONYMOUS letters will NOT be published without a compelling reason.
